The Birth of Sea Urchin
This artwork was born from that profound moment of connection. For months afterward, I experimented with folding techniques that could capture the rhythmic, repeating patterns that made such an impression on me.
I wanted to honour this natural geometry by translating it through human hands. I wanted to create something that might evoke in you the same sense of wonder I felt on that shoreline.

An Invitation to Feel
Close your eyes and imagine yourself walking barefoot along a deserted beach at dawn.
The sand shifts beneath your toes, still cool from the night. Suddenly, your foot encounters something unexpected, not sharp, but distinctly different. You pause and kneel down to discover a perfect miracle of nature: the delicate skeleton of a sea urchin, its spines long gone, leaving behind an intricate geometric wonder.
The first time this happened to me, I couldn't believe it was something natural. It appeared so perfectly designed, that it felt surreal. The symmetrical patterns, the mathematical precision of each tiny hole. How could nature create something that seemed so deliberately drawn by human hands?
